Rowan will know her grandfather, her mother never did!

There is no joy in life like the birth of a child. My father died from Prostate cancer when my daughter Courtney was the age of Rowan above. His life was taken, with all its richness, by this way-too-common disease.

Five years ago, I received the call; Prostate Cancer had invaded my body as well. With early detection and rapid treatment, I am approaching my five year anniversary with a new granddaughter in my arms and the blessings of health and life before me instead of hospice.

On November 21st, I plan to cross a finish line and be met with the hugs and smiles of those I love. Let’s be sure that there are many more scenes like this in the years to come!
